Once again, the annual Tasmania Police versus Tasmanian Prisons charity football matches supported our ongoing work at SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY through men’s and women’s teams matches at KGV, along with a fantastic barbecue and raffle.
Despite some challenging weather, they managed to raise the bar even higher from last year – where they had already raised a whopping $2,924.40… and reached $4,351.31 from the generous gold coin entry donations, raffle tickets, and food and beverage purchases in favour of their chosen charities, Stay ChatTY and Police Legacy!
One of the key organisers shared with us that mental health is something that is all “too real” in this area of work for both of these services, which is why supporting a mental health organisation once again was chosen.
