The local community, businesses, and organisations all pictured together after a rain-fuelled muddy hike together in collective support of Huonville youth mental health.

Leah recently went along to take part in the 2nd Annual Huon Hilltop Hike where members of the local and broader community came together to run or walk Scenic Hill in Huonville, to raise support and vital funds for the Huon Valley PCYC After School Drop-In Program.

Despite the challenging weather conditions on the day, that didn’t deter members of the community coming out to participate on the day. From the local fire brigade, local businesses, to furry friends and their owners, it was a powerful demonstration of the community’s commitment to the next generation to make a real difference together, and lasting impact to start conversations about suicide prevention and mental health in the community, particularly for young people.

The support of the community for the event was incredibly moving, and we are so grateful to be able to take part in initiatives like this that are so impactful and support such a great cause, and to share in conversations and connections with the community. We look forward to being part of next years event!
