Walk & Talk x SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY

Tash headed up to Burnie recently to join in the Walk & Talk x SPEAK UP! Stay ChatTY Event 💙

This event is the new chapter of the Run for Tarkyn, that has successfully brought so many people together over the previous few years in honour of Tarkyn and in support of the NW community.

With beautiful blue skies around them, over 200 people joined in a walk or run in support of the day – with a sea of blue clothing along the foreshore of Burnie as a nod to prioritising mental health.

The collective energy and support for all those who participated was wonderful to be a part of with many smiles, encouraging words and meaningful conversations had all round.

This Event was put together by the Burnie Youth Council in collaboration with the Burnie parkrun. A special shout out to Giovanna Simpson, Deputy Mayor for Burnie City Council, for her efforts to bring this event together – and her continued commitment to show up for her community in any way she can. What a legend!
