Standard Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health First Aid Refresher
Cancellations, refunds, and transfers
- Stay ChatTY will provide a full refund if course registration is cancelled up to two weeks prior to the scheduled course date
- Stay ChatTY will provide a 50% refund if course registration is cancelled within two weeks of the scheduled course date
- Stay ChatTY will not provide a refund if course registration is cancelled within one week of scheduled course date
- Both courses have a minimum quantity requirement of 6 people to go ahead. Should a course not have the required numbers we have the right to cancel the course. If Stay ChatTY cancels the course due to low numbers or trainer unavailability, we will work with you to reschedule the course. If a reschedule is not possible, we will provide a full refund.
- Stay ChatTY will apply discretion to requests to transfer to another course, if the request comes through up to two weeks prior to the schedule course date. Please note, only one transfer per participant will be offered, and transferred tickets cannot be refunded
Records, privacy and photos
- Stay ChatTY will retain participant email address and names for the purposes of registration and participant communication. Data will be stored in line with Relationships Australia Tasmania’s Privacy and Confidentiality Policy, which can be accessed at https://tas.relationships.org.au/about-us/our-commitment-to-clients/
- Stay ChatTY may take photos at the course for the purposes of promotion. If you do not want your photo taken, please advise Stay ChatTY via email prior to the course, or advise the trainer on the course date
- Mental Health First Aid Australia will retain participant email address and names for the purposes of issuing a Mental Health First Aid Accreditation Certificate
Attendance and course requirements
- Any participant / attendee must be over 18 years old to attend the trainings
- Attendance on both days for the full duration of the Standard Mental Health First Aid training, and the completion of the online quiz (which will be sent to the email provided), are required to receive accreditation
- Completion of the Standard Mental Health First Aid training in the last three years is required to attend the Mental Health First Aid Refresher. Original accreditation will need to be provided prior to taking part in the Mental Health First Aid Refresher training.
- Attendance on the day for the full duration of the Mental Health First Aid Refresher training, and the completion of the online quiz (which will be sent to the email provided), are required to receive a further three-year accreditation
- Registration allows access for the participant only: please note that it is not possible to bring other adults or minors with you
- If there is a need to be accompanied by another adult, please contact the Stay ChatTY team to discuss prior to booking a ticket for these trainings
Dietary Requirements
- We will do our best, within reasonable limits, to accommodate any dietary requirements that are advised to us in advance. However, it is the responsibility of participants to check the food provided for morning tea on the day. We cannot guarantee that all dietary requests will be catered for or that food will be completely free from allergens. Please note, morning tea is only provided at our Standard Mental Health First Aid training
