Stay ChatTY is now an approved provider under the National Student Wellbeing Program to deliver Student Wellbeing Services in Tasmanian Department of Education, Children and Young People (DECYP) schools including primary and high schools.

The Stay ChatTY’s Student Wellbeing Service provides Student Wellbeing Officers (SWO) to schools to support the wellbeing of students and the broader school community. SWOs work as part of the School Support and Wellbeing team, providing non-clinical support for students to complement professional intervention.

Other supports can include providing referrals for students, supporting student engagement and connectedness, helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment, coordinating volunteer activities, breakfast clubs, lunch time activities, school incursions and excursions, parent workshops and more. Specific strategies will be determined in consultation with the school.
