A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our official launch event—what a fantastic way to kick off the countdown to Shorts Day 2025 and start important conversations about why mental health matters 💙

New to Shorts Day? Here’s the Lowdown

Talking about mental health isn’t always easy—but that’s exactly why we created Shorts Day.

On the shortest day of the year, we throw on our brightest, boldest, and coldest pair of shorts and come together to brave the cold and brave the conversation. It’s all about showing that while talking about mental health might feel uncomfortable, it’s a conversation worth having—every single time.

This year, we’ll be marking Shorts Day on Friday 20 June 2025, and we’re calling on workplaces, schools, sporting clubs, and individuals right across Tasmania (and beyond!) to join the movement.

A Few Special Thank Yous

A huge shoutout to the RACT team for once again stepping up as our Official Supporter for Shorts Day—we’re so grateful for your ongoing commitment to mental health in our community.

To our brilliant MC Brent Costelloe, our Premier Jeremy Rockliff for joining us in a powerful Q&A and for his continued support of Stay ChatTY, and Mark Mugnaioni, CEO of RACT, for sharing heartfelt reflections on why this day matters—thank you.

And of course, thank you to Richard Jupe Photography for capturing the spirit of the day so beautifully.

Join Us & Brave It!

We can’t wait to see Tasmania (and hopefully beyond!) brave the cold this June. Whether you’re taking part solo, with your team, or hosting an event in your community—your support helps break down stigma and reminds everyone that it’s okay to not be okay.

So go on—register now at www.shortsday.com.au!
