St Marys District School normalising open conversations
St Marys students coming together to support each other and have meaningful conversations about mental health
Our Schools Program team, Kylea and Callan recently headed to St Marys District School on the states East Coast to deliver two sessions with students ranging from Grades 9-12.
The students engaged in the sessions and activities, and asked great questions together, and discussed the knowledge they had around mental illness and strategies to put into practice for building mental wellness.
School Health Nurse, Anna was the real driver in bringing these sessions to life which we absolutely love.
Support Health Nurses like Anna are an important part of the support team and are there to assist students with anything health related, including mental health.
We love the relationship we have built with this wonderful school community, and we look forward to working with you all again in 2024.
