Shorts Day, Thursday 22 June is quickly approaching, being only 2 weeks away now.
As the weather gets cooler and the days get shorter, we are reminded that it can be uncomfortable to be a little cold especially in shorts – as it can be to talk about mental health.
Shorts Day is our reminder that as a collective, we can do our part to brave the cold and brave the conversation by wearing shorts to work, school, your sporting club and taking part in Shorts Day initiatives.
We have seen a constant flow in registrations for Shorts Day from businesses, individuals and sporting clubs getting ready to come together to Brave it. The team have been busy behind the scenes packing, sending out, and dropping off registration packs out into the local and wider community ready for the day, as well as organizing our upcoming community visits on the day across the state!
This is our opportunity to spark conversations and help normalise that many Australians experience a mental illness in their lifetime. You can get involved by hosting a morning tea, wearing shorts or finding your own unique way to ‘brave it’ this Shorts Day. We also have a range of merch available – including our limited-edition shorts. https://merchwindow.com/speakupstaychatty.
