Hutchins students come together for mental health with Leah, ready to brave the plunge into the icy River Derwent.

Recently the students from Stephens House at The Hutchins School took to the wintery waters of the River Derwent in support of Stay ChatTY for their annual Freezin’ for a Reason.

Freezin’ for a Reason aims to bring the students together to brave the cold plunge of the water to raise awareness of the importance of mental health, suicide prevention and supportive conversations.

Leah headed down to join the students in conversation, share some breakfast and celebrate their wonderful initiative.

Thanks to Stephens House (and Hutchins more generally) for your ongoing commitment to prioritising mental health, it’s incredible to see how many amazing initiatives the Hutchins community invests in each year in support of reducing stigma and positive mental health conversations.
